Abstract

In this essay, we aim to analyze the procedures and narrative strategies used by Antonio Fernando Borges in Braz, Quincas & Cia. (2002) in their rereading of the work of Machado de Assis, through intertextuality, especially through parody as a strategy for aesthetic self-questioning, and their implications for both the construction of the narrative as to their reception by the reader.
