Abstract

The present essay makes a correlation between image and myth and narrative, in order to think, following a reading of the myth of Narcissus as it appears in Ovidius’s Metamorphosis, the issue of the double beyond representation. From the sense of the image as a “faithful representation”, on the one hand, and as “a forgery”, on the other, one tries to problematize the relation between the two element “”copy” and “original”), in order to introduce them into the dissemination of the multiple with Nietzsche, Deleuze and Derrida.
