This article proposes a reflection on the notion of Discursive Formation in the constitution of meanings of the materiality of the current LDB - Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education nº 9394/96, in its Article 58, which refers to Special Education as "The modality of school education, offered preferably in the regular network of education, for students with special needs". Bringing the notion of Discursive Formation (FD) in the determination of processes of sense-making, which mark the discursive materiality in study, means to consider the text as a fact of the language, which presents historicity. Hence we can say that this textual materiality was constituted from a socio-historical conjuncture. This paper aims to develop a study in light of the theoretical contributions of Discourse Analysis.
