Abstract

This work consists of a brief discussion on contemporary Brazilian narrative, observing how it is configured in the current context, in which literature, alongside other arts, is seen as a commodity and entertainment, destabilizing the view that there is autonomy work of art. The discussion here undertaken assumes that, with the advent of new technologies, with the rise of the masses and with the spread of electronic images, the experience represented in the contemporary prose destabilizes the notion of perennial work of art, among others modernist topics.
