Abstract

This article discusses the headlines of the news from the internet, seeking to highlight the impact they have on reading and understanding the text of online journalism. The manuscript recovers classical functions of the headlines in journalism, and shows their importance in the organization and textual presentation. The text addresses the cognitive function of titles, presents the types of readers on the internet and cites characteristics of journalistic website title in relation to the headlines of print journalism.
