Abstract

It's nothing new that Globo Network Television (GNT) fulfills a elementary role in supporting conservative political forces discourse. However, its history has suffered a kind of “revisionism”. The “mea-culpa” for supporting military dictatorship aims to restore the damaged credibility. Thereby, this article reflects on the historical relationship between GNT and power. So, the memorable moments of the interdiscourse’s demonstration are characterized, especially, by the pre-built. The analysis is based on the current conjuncture which backdrop is being drawn by the electoral process. For this reason, the work calls attention to Geração Brasil's logo, considering that the effects of meaning, produced by subliminal discourse during the opening of this soap opera, suggest how network discursive function works in the period leading up to the elections. Thus, the study adopts a discursive approach on television, considering this communication vehicle as an Ideological State Apparatuses.
