Chronicle discourse: a “flaw in the ritual” of journalism

Abstract

In this paper I intend to carry out a theoretical reflection, under the light of Discourse Analysis (Pêcheux, Orlandi), on the discursive practice of the chronicle. That means I will discuss the insertion of the chronicle in the journalistic discourse. I will also analyze the newspaper chronicles published during a period – the JK government in Brasil - , which was important in the process of signification of the chronicle in the discursive formation of literature.
