Abstract

This paper explores the influence of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari’s perspective on discourse analysis. This exploration aims to identify two sets of concepts: specific language concepts and concepts derived from philosophy and psychoanalysis. This analysis reveals how their perspective can contribute to discourse analysis by engaging in conceptual exercises and intersecting with related areas of study. The paper highlights the interconnectedness between language, subjectification, desire, mode of production, and thought, emphasizing the significance of micropolitics in analysis. Furthermore, it suggests a philosophy of discourse as a toolbox to examine discourse chains, identify investments in subjectivity, and distinguish various modes of existence.
