Notes on the embodied emergence of the subject and of alterity

Abstract

In this paper I present some notes on the embodied emergence of the subject and of alterity in the flow of structural couplings of the organism with the environment. Taking into consideration the biological bases of such emergences, and emphasizing the operational closure of the nervous system, I suggest an explanation for the recurrent changes of consciousness-generating neuronal states of activity, based on the notions of break of transparency or fluctuation and that of semiosis.
