The rhetorical organization of academic reviews

Abstract

This work describes the organization of book reviews. It analyzes a corpus of 60 book reviews, thirty produced by specialist writers and thirty by students, in the field of Theology. The analysis shows a similar organizational pattern in both groups, but it also shows certain specificities resulting from the communicative purposes of each group of reviewers.
