Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to show ideology as an aesthetical element implicit in the Rubem Fonseca’s short story Feliz ano novo. A model of analysis based in the concept that interrelates ideology and art was applied to prove that ideology plays an aesthetical function in the literary text, structuring it as a formal reality.
