Abstract

This article analyzes, in the light of French Discourse Analysis, the discursive functioning of the term “mi-mi-mi”. The study takes as a corpus two excerpts from the social network Twitter, in which it is possible to verify that the expression “mi-mi-mi” and the statements with which it establishes a relationship are used as a way of mocking, belittling, embarrassing and silencing minorities, evidencing knowledge that delineate the Extreme Right Discursive Formation, such as racism and misogyny. In general, it was observed that when expressing such meanings, the analyzed discourses express views that converge to the idea that there is a group that must prevail over the others.
