Abstract

We analyze in this editorial conceptual and methodological aspects of the Public Consultation SECOVID/MS N. 1, of December 22, 2021, promoted by the Extraordinary Secretariat to Combat Covid-19 of the Brazilian Ministry of Health. Designed to obtain the manifestation of civil society regarding vaccination against Covid-19 in children aged 5 to 11 years in the context of the Pfizer/Comirnaty vaccine approval by the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) on December 16, 2021, the public consultation is, strictly speaking, a referendum to support ideological positions. Narrowing the look at the data collection instrument, we present crass errors from its conception, through its execution and ending with its practical ineffectiveness.
