Abstract

This work seeks to analyze the discursive strategies linked to the implementation of nationalization policies developed during 2008 in Argentina. Specifically, it focuses on identifying the procedures that tend to legitimize and generate adherence to those measures present in the speech produced by former president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner (2007-2015). To this end, we start from concepts inscribed in the theories of discourse analysis —particularly, of political discourse and around the question of ethos—, in dialogue with the selected corpus. Within this framework, a set of deployed strategies stand out that aimed to promote the credibility and legitimacy of the broadcaster, with the subsequent aim of achieving acceptance and adherence to government action.
