Do integrative therapies impact positively on women´s psyco-emotional health? Study of intervention on Integrative Communitarian Terapy in the south of Brazil

Community Integrative Terapy (CIT) is classifed as na integrative practice in Brazil and this study aimed to evaluate the psychoemotional impact of CIT on women frequenting a philanthropic institution in CuritibaParaná-Brazil. A cross-sectional study was performed pre and post CIT meetings with 54 participants and the data analysis was quantitative. Te results showed signifcant improvement in the psychoemotional state of women afer 88.9% of the interventions. Te universal theme and most frequent strategies to confront problems during the meetings were family con?icts and personal empowerment, respectively. It is concluded that the CIT is an important group intervention to promote the psychoemotional well-being, especially for vulnerable populations.Downloads
