Abstract

Establishing the epistemological foundations of Naturology is one of the most important points to recognize and encourage its services in our society, culture and national health policies. Te Naturology can only tread a safe and prosperous path if we can prove its validity, efciency and value along with the felds of knowledge already established in our culture. In this article I develop the thesis that Naturology in its theoretical and practical activity, as a health technology, requires di?erent epistemologies. Tis feature makes the Naturology a peculiar and quite contemporary area within the health technologies. Tese two epistemologies meet on the one hand the intimate and irreducible relationship of Naturology with Science, that is, its technological and non-technical characteristic, and on the other hand, at the time of interagency, its practice will require interpretative character approach, based on another ethos, as it recognizes the limits of naturalistic method in dealing with the human phenomena.
