Abstract

We examine in this research the structure of memorial events about artisanal or manufacturing work in six oral interviews with elderly aged 66 to 84. The theoretical foundation explores theoretical-conceptual connections, assuming dialogue as an innate property of human language and the assumption that discursive topicalization affects directely the construction of memorial events, determining roles for the interviewer and the interviewee. The results indicate that, even without direct experience with artisanal or manufacturing work, the interviewer emerges as the primary co-author in shapping the narrated memories.
