SOBRE A LÓGICA DAS RELAÇÕES ENTRE TQM E INOVAÇÃO: INSIGHTS E PROPOSIÇÕES TEÓRICAS

Resumo

O presente estudo tem o objetivo principal de compreender, por meio de uma revisão sistemática da literatura, a relação entre TQM e inovação, com o intuito de gerar insights e proposições teóricas. Para isso foram analisados 16 dos 20 principais artigos obtidos da base de dados Scopus por meio dos termos TQM e inovação, além de 23 publicações adicionais, obtidas de forma reversa daquelas revisadas, totalizando 39 textos. Os resultados da pesquisa sugerem que: TQM e inovação possuem diversos pontos convergentes; poucos estudos correlacionam o elemento trabalho em equipe aos cinco tipos de inovação; estudos anteriores associam melhoria contínua à inovação incremental; existem poucas evidências sobre a relação existente entre TQM e inovação radical.

    Doutorando em Administração pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, PUCRS, Brasil, com Ampla Associação com a Universidade de Caxias do Sul, UCS, Brasil (2014-Atual). É Mestre em Engenharia de Produção (2005) pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), Especialista em Gestão da Qualidade e Produtividade (2002) pela UFPB, Especialista em Logística Empresarial (2003) pela Universidade Potigua (UNP) e Graduado em Administração (2001) pela UFPB. Atualmente, é Professor do Curso de Administração (Graduação e Especialização) da Universidade de Caxias do Sul (UCS). Exerce o Cargo de Coordenador do Curso de Administração (Graduação), além de Cursos de Extensão e Especialização (Lato Sensu) no Núcleo Universitário de Farroupilha da UCS (NUFAR). Atua no Grupo de Pesquisa, na Categoria Pesquisador Associado Docente, do EC2M - Observatório: Câmara de Estudos em Engenharia de Custos e Modelagem de Métricas, do Departamento de Engenharia de Produção da UFPB, com Cadastro no Diretório dos Grupos de Pesquisa do Brasil - CNPq. Tem Experiência na Área de Administração e Engenharia de Produção, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Inovação, Capacidades Dinâmicas, Ambidestria Organizacional e Modelagem de Equações Estruturais.
